The clear green water comes alive with orange. Just as I catch up to them, paddling furiously, they break away playfully and change course. I find myself kayaking past it, for the second time in my life, when I set off on a 3,000-km solo kayaking trip from Kutch to Kanyakumari. And it’s tentacles run a Mexican Wave. According to Ms Jaain, after moving to Mumbai in 2003, she saw solid waste and nullah full of plastic waste in plush area of JVPD, and approached ‘K’ ward officer of BMC in 2003 and asked for permission to collect waste.Raaginii Jaain has been campaigning for cleanliness drive from long before the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched.
